Mauritz Stenson is a Chilean-born, Sweden-based songwriter and storyteller whose work explores belonging, memory, love, survival and the idea of one human race.
Long biography
Mauritz Stenson creates music and stories from a life lived between countries, languages and identities. Born in Chile and raised partly in Sweden, his work carries memories of separation, migration, family, love, humour and survival. Rather than fitting into one genre or label, his songs follow the emotional truth of each story. At the heart of his work is a simple belief: there is only one human race.
